Our Philosophy

The philosophy at A Place of Our Own CDC is based on the belief that each child is a unique individual. The focus of our educational philosophy is to foster the development of each child's uniqueness in a positive way, and to establish a strong link between the home and the center that promotes and strengthens this development.

We have adopted "What I Am" by Will.i am. as our school song. Here is an excerpt:
If what I am is what's in me

A Place of Our Own is a child development center designed to provide a high quality education and child care that meets the needs of children and families. We strive to provide a warm and nurturing environment that will promote each child's physical, social, emotional, creative and intellectual development. Our curriculum encourages curiosity, problem solving, creativity and social-emotional growth.
